Welcome to our web site
This web site is dedicated to the family histories of my wife and me and our children and grandchildren.
My wife is Irene Hartwell, I am Dave Foster.
Over on the right are the most common surnames in our two families.
Try clicking on one now, if you want to see a chart for that family.
My ancestors come mainly from Liverpool, other parts of Lancs, Notts, and Ireland.
Irene’s mother is Austrian; her father’s ancestors are mainly from the Bucks, Northants, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire areas.
These include some interesting gypsy travellers.
This site has many useful features that are not immediately obvious.
Most of them are described in the HELP facility accessed from the menu above.
If like Irene you don't like reading HELP systems, then just spend a little time looking down each item in the menu above.
And then take a look at say my father's record,
and click on each of the tabs above his details.
If you find errors, have any problems, suggestions or additions,

NB. Recent changes to the site include the rebuild of the help system in Nov 2011; an upgrade of the web software in Dec 2011.
